1. Acceptance of These Terms
Welcome to PDF Editor – Edit and Sign PDF, an Android application provided by Rhophi Analytics LLP, India (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the application and its related services (the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
2. The Service
The Service provides PDF-related functionality, including editing, signing, conversion, compression and file sharing. It operates on a freemium basis: some features are free, advertisements may be displayed, and certain features require a paid subscription. Available features and subscription benefits are described in the app.
3. License and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Company and its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the application, including its software, branding and Company-provided materials. All such rights are reserved.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purposes.
You must not sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute or copy the application or Company-owned materials except where expressly permitted by us or applicable law. You must not bypass subscription controls, interfere with security, or reverse-engineer the application except to the extent permitted by law.
These restrictions do not transfer ownership of your documents to us or prevent you from using or sharing documents you own or are authorised to use.
4. Your Account and Responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information where requested and contact support if you believe your account has been used without authorisation.
Use the Service lawfully. Do not upload or share content that infringes another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights, contains malware, or is otherwise unlawful. You must have the necessary rights and permissions for documents and other content you process or share.
5. Your Documents and Shareable Links
You retain ownership of your documents and other content. You grant us only the permission needed to host and make available files you upload through the sharing feature, for the purpose of providing that feature.
PDF editing, signing, conversion and compression take place on your device. When you use Share File to generate a shareable link, the PDF is uploaded to our server so it can be accessed through the link.
Share links carefully. Anyone who obtains a link may be able to access or download the associated document. You are responsible for deciding which documents to share and with whom. Deletion from our server cannot remove copies already downloaded or saved by recipients.
Keep independent backups of important documents and check edited, converted or signed outputs before relying on them. Use of a signing feature does not, by itself, guarantee that a document meets every legal requirement for an electronic signature in your jurisdiction.
6. Subscriptions, Billing and Cancellation
Certain features require a paid subscription. Before purchasing, review the price, billing period, included features, any trial conditions and any automatic-renewal terms shown at checkout.
If you select an automatically renewing plan, it renews and is charged according to the terms disclosed at purchase unless cancelled through the applicable purchase provider. Any trial converts to a paid plan only as disclosed in the purchase flow.
Manage or cancel your subscription through the provider used to purchase it. For subscriptions purchased through Google Play, use Google Play’s subscription-management options. Uninstalling the app or deleting your app account does not by itself cancel a store-managed subscription.
Refund requests are subject to the applicable purchase provider’s policies and mandatory consumer law. These Terms do not impose a blanket no-refund rule or remove statutory refund rights.
7. Advertisements and Third-Party Services
The Service includes advertisements and uses third-party services, including Google Play Services, AdMob and Firebase Analytics. Third-party services and linked websites may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Their inclusion does not mean we control their content or practices.
8. Privacy and Account Deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used and retained. Please review it before using the Service.
You can initiate account deletion through the account-deletion option in the app’s Settings. Account deletion removes your login account data. PDF file data uploaded to our server through Share File is deleted on the 91st day following account deletion, not immediately.
Account deletion does not remove copies held by recipients or cancel a store-managed subscription. Information about data handling and privacy requests is provided in the Privacy Policy.
9. Misuse and Service Availability
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a material breach of these Terms, or a security threat. Where required by law, we will provide notice and any applicable remedies.
We may update or change the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Changes affecting paid subscriptions remain subject to applicable purchase terms and consumer rights.
10. Disclaimer and Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without additional warranties regarding uninterrupted operation, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer guarantees and remedies remain unaffected.
11. Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms are subject to applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence. Contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. Nothing in these Terms removes any right to seek remedies through a competent court or authority.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted with a revised effective date. Where required by law, we will provide advance notice or obtain agreement to material changes.
